I only participate to the level I feel comfortable. At Christmas I usually wear Grinch lounge pants. I bought a pair of tie-dye Grogu (baby Yoda) lounge pants for $11 (something I’ll wear on weekends anyway.) And then paired that with a long sleeve, matching tee. I often go buy (or reuse) a pair of lounge pants/pj bottoms that are trendy for the moment or say something about my interests, or are just funny. That being said, I don’t wear what I wear to bed. I find that my students love it when their teachers participate and it helps improve perception almost all of the time. But also, I think you might be worrying about the wrong thing in regards to them losing respect. r/ECEProfessionals: early childhood education Share and discuss educational techologies that can support and improve teaching and learning.
